At Fluready, we believe you are not truly "Fluready" until you have exercised your plan, rewritten the plan and exercised it...the UK FSC have released exercise resources from the largest ever pandemic exercise conducted in 2006 by the UK financial sector - they provide excellent material for planning your own exercise.
Having participated in and facilitated a number of pandemic exercises I can say that these resources represent several hundreds of thousands of dollars of investment in development costs. You can't really take them in their current format and run your own exercise but they provide a great framework, and guide for scenario content to assist in developing your own exercise. The website states "the 2006 exercise is the most ambitious Market-wide Exercise to date. The 6-week exercise simulated the first wave of pandemic influenza and spanned 5-months of real time. The scenario was designed to be challenging and credible and to provide organisations with an opportunity to test how well their business continuity plans would stand up to a period of prolonged disruption.
